Civil War

This is a video about the Civil War that includes some clips of maps. The graphics on the map show the soldier movement and battles during the war. The visuals are well put together for the maps that are shown.

Shape Shifter

World War I

This map has a lot of shapes that move around as the animation plays. The shape that represents the movement of soldiers across the land morphs and changes. As the shapes move around there is also text to explain what is happening during the war to add context to the movement of the shapes.

Timeline Map

Nazi Camps

This map does a nice job of displaying information with the timeline running through history. The different levels of grey make it easy to identify where the important areas of the map are and the red dots are clear against the background as well.

This is an interactive map of the Milky Way Galaxy that allows the user to add features on top of the base image. The toggle buttons allow the user to put a grids up as a reference to where things are in the galaxy and the different constellations.
